ACHELOIS /
Typeface
Achelois, pronounced aki/low/ees, is an Arabic Naskh font inspired by the floral and feminine yet edgy fashion creations of Krikor Jabotian. Among its' characteristics are stroke ends at an angle, open & short descenders, changing height of letters depending on location in a word and large counters. The Arabic alphabet has 29 letters, 3 more than the Latin alphabet. Similar to script fonts, Arabic letters also change according to their placement in a word, meaning each letter has 3 different forms.
