AMMAN
DESIGN WEEK /
Logo & t-shirt
The designers behind the branding of Amman's first ever Design Week, Eyen Design Studio, contacted me with an exercise titled 'Democratizing the Logo'. I was given 48 hours to create my own rendition of a logo for the city of Amman.

The exercise aimed to involve many Ammani designers in the dynamic branding of ADW and 4 designers were chosen to be featured. The logo I created draws inspiration from the Diwani and Nastaaliq script; both age old classics that resemble Amman in their traditional yet dynamic nature. My logo went on to be used as the main logo for the event, features across all of the applications such as billboards, programs, signage, etc.

ADW also partnered with Jobedu, an Arab streetwear brand to produce tshirts designed by the 4 designers chosen. The tshirt I designed is of an infographic that incorporates the map of Jordan with all the governorates of the kingdom; the size of each title corresponding to the population in that area.

ABSTRACTION OF WORD 'AMMAN'
The four basic shapes; an abstraction of the word 'Amman' in Arabic, and logotype sent by ADW designers to be used as a background
